ANNUAL REPORT  2017-18 I am privileged to undertake, the pleasant duty of presenting the report of   activities of the academic year 2017 -18. As I look back, I thank the wonderful way in which the Lord Almighty has led us. At the onset, let me pay obeisance to our founder chairman and spiritual father His Eminence The Most Reverend Dr K P Yohannan, Metropolitan of Believers Eastern Church for his encouragement and guidance. The academic year, 2017 – 18 ushered us into one more evolutionary year with splendid glimpses of success. The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. The goal of education is to form men and women of character and intelligence. ………. students entered into this temple of learning in June 2017, with excitement, optimism and aspiration. Academic activities began from the next day. Each day has its own spice and flavour, which made it, the year it was. Teacher Empowerment Great teachers help create great students. Informed and updated teachers play the most important factor in student achievement. It has been critical for us to train both new and experienced educators. Several trainings we held round the year. Our share of training extended to other schools as well. Academics The perseverance and meticulous endeavour of our diligent students were brought into limelight through the academic achievement of our students. Both class X and class XII students did the school proud by achieving cent percent results. Following are the students who secured A1 in all subjects in AISSCE class XII examination. Femi Ann Varghese Rekhil Varughese Abraham Shanna Susanne Philip Class X students also made us proud by securing A1 in all subjects. Meenu Yesudas Harsha Meriam Shaji Aliza Meria Mathew Yazeen Muhammed Sanju Parents’ Orientation Parents are our valued partners in education. We make sure we pass on valuable information from the Board time and again. Our Open Houses and Tuesday and Friday stay backs are great opportunities to interact with teachers and follow up performances. School Assembly Our assemblies are an important feature of our school life. They act as one of the main ways by which we create a positive reflective ethos and provide value based education. Reading Week Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. To commemorate the event, a week long programme was held highlighting the need to read and grow. We at BCRS do everything to bring reading to the door step of our classes. In connection with this, various inter house activities were conducted. To name a few, the Poster Making, Bulletin Board competitions, Best Class arrangement, Quiz for both teachers as well as students. The winners were honoured with certificates from The Indian Express. Special Assemblies were also conducted with regard to the Reading Week.  Independence Day Freedom is not given, it is won....
